– Inform students about academic expectations.
– Assist students in exploring and defining their interests, skills, and goals.
– Stay up-to-date with Florida state academic policies, procedures, deadlines, and requirements.
– Maintain confidentiality of student information in compliance with FERPA guidelines.
– Inform students about and provide appropriate referrals to campus resources that can enhance their academic and personal experiences at CCA.
– Discuss actionable plans with students.
– Help students make informed decisions and take ownership of their choices.

– Develop a strong working relationship with your advisor and schedule appointments as requested or needed.
– Be respectful and inclusive in all communications and interactions with your advisor.
– Prepare for and actively participate in advising meetings, and ask questions when needed.
– Reflect on your personal interests, skills, and goals and share them with your advisor.
